Revive Innovations was founded by Kieran Devlin. During his final year at university studying product design, Devlin created a processing method that produces a unique composite made from 100% recycled material. RE-CD is Revive Innovation’s latest project. In our current day & age, CD’s are a thing of the past. There is now a surplus of material that is unused and frequently thrown out or forgotten about. That is where Revive comes in. Their unique material is used as table tops, furniture pieces and home accessories.

thinkFound was born out of a love for simple, stylish furniture and a growing concern for our throw-away culture along with a lack of opportunities for social mobility within our society. ThinkFound makes use of 'FOUND' materials, often the byproducts of other industries and transforms them into beautiful usable future. Their organisation is alsoset up as a Social Enterprise designed to give opportunities to those furthest from the employment market. They provide an individually tailored platform for people to learn skills, acquire qualifications and enhance employment prospects in a supportive, friendly environment. Solidwool was born from the idea to create something beautiful - and to create sustainable design with an unbreakable link to nature and our surroundings.

A small market town that was once a thriving part of the woollen industry had grown quiet as manufacturing had left, taking the heart of the town with it. If we could find a way to reinvent wool, then there was an opportunity to bring it back to the town.

We heard talk of an upland sheep that had dramatically lost its value in recent years. Historically used in the UK carpet industry, this wool had fallen out of favour and was now considered almost worthless, a by-product of sheep farming. This wool was from a breed called the Herdwick, found in the Lake District. Now we had something we could help find its value again – to take the unwanted and make it beautiful.

So we started to play. To turn the way we have always worked with wool on it's head and turn this by-product into design created with conscience, beauty and soul.

The end result is Solidwool. A strong, beautiful and unique composite material. Think fibreglass, but with wool.

Planq is a sustainable furniture brand that bridges the gap between contemporary design and environmental consciousness, founded by twin brothers Anton & Dennis. With innovative materials made from textile waste and biobased resources, they design furniture for a better tomorrow. The Rezign® Veneer was created to design high-end products made of low-valued waste materials. This veneer is a composite of textile waste, such as jeans and army clothing, but also from biodegradable sources, such as flax and jute bags. The combination of the Rezign® Veneer and the passion for design gave rise to a sustainable furniture collection. The Rezign® lends itself perfectly as seatings for the chairs, as tabletops, and as a shelf veneer for the Cubics. The collection is inspired by the refined forms of Scandinavian and timeless design, but with a view to the future. One Ubu Chair consists of 7.2 recycled jeans, with which we save 9765 litres of water. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests and offer fabrics made from plastic bottles, recycled leather, and wool.
